Campers
Julian Oaks is a Christian camp which ministers to children who have been removed from their homes for reasons of abuse or neglect. With the help of many volunteer counselors, children, between the ages of 9-18, who desperately need hope are touched by Jesus. They come to camp for a week in the summer, weekends in the winter, & other gatherings throughout the year, to enjoy a mountain camping experience like no other!
With a camper to counselor ration of 2:1, campers receive much individual support and attention to be sure! 24 children are divided into 4 teams comprised of 6 campers, 3 counselors, and 1 or 2 junior counselors. This "family team" sticks together through thick and thin and acquires a real "hands on" experience in Christian living by preparing their own meals, cleaning up after themselves, teaming up for competition, and maintaining an orderly cabin. Daily activities include swimming, hiking, crafts, cooking, Bible studies, skits, campfire, competitive games, singing, and more.
