We are grateful for your place in the Camp Julian Oaks Family! The Lord has brought you into this ministry for many reasons, the primary reason was to bring you the saving grace and knowledge of Jesus. Beyond that great work, He desires to care for your needs and help you during difficult times. Because of the many very generous donors God has brought to the camp ministry, we are blessed to be able to offer help for some difficult situations you might find yourself in.

First and foremost, we urge you to seek the Lord for wisdom and direction during life’s most challenging times. We also encourage you to be a part of a local church where you can find good teaching, support from within the body and a place to use the many talents the Lord has given you. Churches also offer bible centered programs for life skills, spiritual growth, addictions and much more. They will be able to offer more long- term help than we can because they can be with you on a more day to day basis. Check out our alumni resource page on the camp website for a church in your area as well as other resources that can help with physical and spiritual needs.

With all that said, we pray that we can help in your current need. The kinds of things we help with are one- time utility bills, groceries, gas for your car to get to work, an uber ride for a one time need, modest help with rent or move- in fees. We generally do not give funds for hotel stays as that is a lot of money for a very short- term fix. We have a list of shelters in various areas listed on the resource page of the website. We ask that you make the calls and do the research. Let us know if you find resources that we can add to the list!

May the Lord bless and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26) Please know that however we are able and led, we are desiring to help. Even if we had unlimited financial resources, we would pray for wisdom on how to distribute them and how best to help in each specific case. While our primary ministry is summer and winter camps for campers ages 8-18, we are grateful to be able to offer a modest level of help should our cherished alumni run into a challenging moment.

We will get in touch with you, and if we are able to offer financial help, we will determine the best way to get the funds to you, ie Paypal, Venmo, Facebook, e-gift cards…
